Wheat Idiyappam or Godhumai Idiyappam is a delicious and healthy recipe that can be prepared in jiffy. This simple and quick to make wheat Idiyappam/ Godhumai Idiyappam involves only handful ingredients. It is prepared with whole wheat flour, salt and water.
This wheat Idiyappam can be relished as breakfast, snacks or tiffin. It can be served with variety of sides; like coconut milk, grated coconut sugar, kadala curry or a simple chutney.
I love making dishes with Wheat flour as it very healthy compared to Maida/ All purpose flour. So I substitute wheat flour for Maida most of the times. Of course there will be compromise in taste and texture but definitely a healthy one.
