- Grated coconut – ¾ cup

- Fried gram dal – 1 tbsp

- Tamarind – a tiny piece
- Salt – to taste

- Urad dal – 1 tsp
- Oil – 1 tsp
- Hing – a pinch

How to make Red chilli coconut chutney with step by step images

- In a blender add coconut, red chilli, gram dal, garlic, tamarind and salt. Grind it into paste adding little water.
- Now heat oil in a small pan add mustard seeds, after it splutters add urad dal, after it turns golden brown add curry leaves and hing. Put off the flame pour it on to the chutney and mix well. Serve it with main dish of your choice!
