Chicken tawa fry recipe, Tawa chicken fry

Ingredients
- 1. Chicken drumstick – 6 pcs
- 2. Ginger garlic paste – 1 ½ tbsp
- 3. Red chili powder – 1 to 1 ½ tsp
- 4. Garam masala powder – ½ tsp
- 5. Salt – to taste
- 6. Curd – 2 tbsp
- 7. Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
- 8. Oil – ¼ cup
- 9. Curry leaves – few sprigs
Note
- * 1 cup = 235 ml
Instructions
- Clean and wash chicken drumstick and make slits on it. Now in a bowl add the chicken drumstick to it add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, salt and curd. Coat the chicken well in the masala specially the slits. Do not add more curd than mentioned. Marinate the chicken for at least 4 hours or overnight for best result.
- After 4 hours of marination, heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan/ kadai, to it add curry leaves springs, when it splutters add the marinated chicken. Roast it in oil, flipping it gently occasionally and fry/ roast it well. Do not add water as the water from chicken and curd will be enough to cook the chicken. You can cover it with a lid and cook in low to medium flame and it should take about 15 to 20 minutes to cook 3 chicken drumstick. When the chicken looks roasted remove it from the pan and add the remaining chicken pieces snd cook. When done serve it hot with biryani/ sambar rice.
