Ingredients
- 1. Chicken thigh - 1
- 2. Ginger garlic paste – 1 ½ tsp
- 3. Red chilli powder – 1 to 2 tsp (depending on spice level)
- 4. Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- 5. Coriander powder – ½ tsp
- 6. Garam masala powder – ½ tsp
- 7. Salt – to taste
- 8. Curd/ Dahi – ¼ cup
- 9. Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
- 10. Oil – 2 to 4 tbsp (for brushing)
Note
- * 1 cup = 235 ml
Instructions
- Wash and clean chicken thigh. To it add curd, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, salt, coriander powder, lemon juice and ginger garlic paste. Mix well until combined. Marinate it for about 30 minutes at least. For best results marinate it overnight.
- After marinating the chicken for preferred time, preheat l oven at 400 degree./ highest temperature available yo you. Now line a baking tray with aluminum foil. Brush 2 tbsp oil with brush and place the chicken and bake the chicken for 20 to 25 minutes.
- I flipped the chicken leg after 12 minutes and cooked the other side for another 10 to 12 minutes or until done. When both sides are completely cooked broil the chicken leg for 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
- I flipped it poured some oil around the chicken as well. I broiled it to get charred flavor snd tandoori color and you can see the final result was little charred one just as the restaurant which actually brings all the flavors to the chicken. When the chicken has achieved desired levels of cooking take the tray out and serve it hot with mint chutney.
