Oats chapati is a very easy and healthy chapati prepared by adding ground oats powder to wheat flour to form dough. Oats chapati will have same texture, look,  feel very soft and will taste more yummy than regular chapati and this is again a delicious way to consume oats. Today I prepared this oats chapati for dinner and my husband didn’t  even find it was oats chapati. He was surprised when I told him it was made with oats and he mentioned that it was very tasty than the regular one and gobbled up extra chapati than usual. So lets get to the making!

Ingredients

  • Oats – ½ cup
  • Wheat flour – 1 cup
  • Oil – 1 tsp (For kneading dough)
  • Salt to taste
  • Water to knead dough

How to make oats chapati with step by step images


Oats chapati

  1. In a blender add oats and grind it into fine powder.

  2. In a bowl add oats powder, wheat flour, salt and oil. Mix well and add water gradually to form a soft dough. Allow the dough to rest for 10- 20 minutes.

  3. Now pinch a small portion of dough and flatten it into a round chapati. Heat a tava and place the flattened chapati and drizzle some oil around it. When you see brown spots on one side flip it carefully and cook till done, then transfer it to plate and serve it hot with curry of your choice.Oats chapati
