Instant honey cake/ Instant bread cake is one such delicious and quick to make cake prepared in just 10 minutes with bread slices, jam, honey, coconut and sugar. Yes you heard that right, less ingredients, less time but no compromise in taste !! This no bake/ bread honey cake is a perfect recipe to satisfy that instant sweet/ dessert craving and can be easily prepared even by beginner in cooking/ baking. I had earlier posted a detailed version of this cake like this BAKERY STYLE HONEY CAKE which was also a true hit in the blog. In this cake I have used freshly grated coconut instead of desiccated coconut and it truly tasted delish also tried piping whipped cream on it which enhanced the taste of the honey cake.

Ingredients

  • Bread slices – 2 to 3 slices ( White bread)
  • Jam – 2 tbsp cup (kissan fruit jam)
  • Sugar – 1 tsp
  • Desiccated/ Freshly grated coconut – 1 tbsp

INGREDIENTS FOR SYRUP

  • Sugar – 2 tsp
  • Water – 1/3 cup
  • Honey – 1 tbsp

Note

* 1 cup = 235 ml

How to make Instant honey cake with step by step images


  1. In a bowl add warm water, honey and sugar, mix well and until sugar is dissolved completely and honey is well combined . Keep this syrup aside.
  2. Take a bread slice chop off its sides (brown part). Repeat the process for all the bread slices. Keep it aside.
  3. Now on a plate/ tray/ cutting board place a bread slice. Spread few tablespoons of honey syrup. Do not soak the bread slice and get it wet, as the break will get mushy. Now place another bread slice on the syrup soaked bread and add honey syrup. Keep this aside.
  4. Now heat a pan add fruit jam and sugar. Keep stirring the mixture in medium flame and within 2 minutes the mixture will turn into liquid form. Put off the flame.
  5. Now pour the prepared jam mixture onto the soaked bread cake and top it. Now immediately garnish it with desiccated coconut. If you like whipped cream pipe some designs as well on the cake. Serve it immediately.
