Bread medhu vada is an instant recipe and requires no grinding and pre preparation. This vada is prepared with bread and  has crispy outer and tastes similar to regular medhu vada. This can be prepared when you want an immediate snack or make use of bread at home. This recipe holds very basic ingredients available at home and can be made quickly. So lets get to the making!

Ingredients

  • Bread – 10
  • Semolina – 2 tbsp
  • Rice flour – ¼ cup
  • Baking soda – ¼ tsp
  • Curd – 2/3 cup
  • Chopped Onion – ¼ cup
  • Chopped green chili – 2
  • Curry leaves a spring
  • Salt to taste

Directions


  1. Take bread slices and cut off the crust and make the white part of the bread into small pieces. Now in a bowl add bread pieces, sooji, rice flour, baking soda, salt and curd. Mix everything well and it should form a batter. Now add onions, green chili and curry leaves to the batter and combine everything well.
  2. Heat oil in a frying then take small portion of batter and flatten it then make and hole in the center and slide it in hot oil.
  3. Fry the vada in medium flame do that you get even coloring and cooked inside. Now transfer it to a plate with tissue paper and drain excess oil.
  4. Serve it hot with chutney of your choice.
