- Bread slices – 6 to 8
- Carrot – 2 (shredded)
- Onion – 1 (big)
- Green chilli – 2
- Tomato – 1 (small)
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Coriander powder – ½ tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Chopped cilantro – 3 tbsp
- Oil – 1 tsp

How to make Iyengar bakery style masala bread with step by step images

- Shred the carrots and keep it aside. Slice onions thin, chop tomato finely and green chili too. Keep it aside. Heat oil in a pan add sliced onion and chopped green chilli. Saute well until onions turn translucent. Now add chopped tomato and saute well until it is cooked.
- Now add grated/ shredded carrot, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder and red chilli powder. Saute well. Now allow the carrot to cook in medium flame. This should take about 8 to 10 minutes.
- When the carrot looks cooked add chopped cilantro and mix well. Put off the flame and keep the mixture aside. In a pan/ toaster toast the bread and keep it ready. Now in a plate keep a toasted bread, on it spread the required amount of carrot mixture evenly. Now serve the bread masala toast!
