- Idli – 4
- Chopped Onion – 1 cup
- Chopped green chili – 2
- Channa dal – 1 tsp
- Urad dal – ½ tsp
- Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves a spring

How to make idli upma with step by step images

- Crumble idli with fingers and keep it aside. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds after it splutters add urad dal and channa dal after it turns golden brown add curry leaves, chopped onions and green chili. Saute well.
- Now add turmeric powder and salt. Give it a quick stir and add crumbled idli to it and mix well. Put off the flame after everything is combined.
- Serve it hot!
