Cheese sauce recipe, Cheese dip

Cheese sauce/ Cheddar sauce/ Cheddar cheese sauce is a rich, creamy, thick and delicious dip/ sauce that can be made with handful ingredients in just 5 minutes time. This lip smacking nacho cheese sauce goes well with Air fryer tortilla chips recipe that I posted yesterday or tastes awesome with steamed broccoli, cauliflower or even baked potatoes.

All you need is 5 minutes to cook and 5 ingredients in hand voila ready to go with any veggies or chips. For this recipe you can use cheddar slices/ cubes or shredded ones too as it will melt and the result will be super duper yummy. So let’s get to the making!!

  1. 1. Unsalted butter – 1 tbsp
  2. 2. All purpose flour/ Maida – 1 tbsp
  3. 3. Milk – ½ cup
  4. 4. Cheddar cheese – ½ to ¾ cup
  5. 5. Salt – a pinch
  6. 6. Pepper powder – a pinch
Note
  1. * 1 cup = 235 ml
Instructions
  1. Heat butter in a pan to add flour stir well until combined, now put the flame to low and add milk gradually with constant stirring so that it does not form lumps.
  2. When milk is combined with flour mixture and looks thick add salt, pepper powder and cheese. Mix well until cheese melts and forms into thick sauce as shown in the image. The whole process should take about 5 minutes only, over cooking will change the texture of sauce. Serve it immediately as it tastes best when hot.

Since the cheese is salty I added very little salt to the sauce. The whole process should take about 5 minutes only, overcooking will change the texture of sauce. When done serve it immediately as it tastes best when hot.
