- Aval/ Poha – ¼ cup
- Milk – 1 cup
- Water – ¼ cup
- Cardamom powder – a pinch
- Cashews – 5
- Ghee – 1 tsp
How to make Aval payasam with step by step images
- Wash poha/ aval and keep it aside. Heat ghee in a pan add cashews in it and fry until golden brown. Now in the same pan add washed poha and roast for few seconds.
- Now add water and milk to it. Mix well. Allow the mixture to boil well. When the aval looks cooked add sugar and cardamom powder. Give it an good stir and put off the flame after everything looks combined. Serve it!
