Sprinkle cupcakes, Funfetti cupcakes for valentine’s day

A simple and easy to make funfetti/ sprinkler cupcakes made with basic vanilla cupcake batter can bring lot of joy on any special occasion. Since the post is meant for valentine’s day I used red, white and pink sprinkler to match it to the occasion. I made a no fancy, no hassle yet delicious cupcake with little tint of colors that describe love better to make the occasion a very special one. If you are a beginner at baking then this recipe is just suitable for you. So lets get to the making!

Red velvet cupcake (naturally colored)

Ingredients

  • All purpose flour – ½ cup
  • Baking powder – ¼ tsp
  • Melted butter – ¼ cup
  • Sugar – ¼ cup
  • Vanilla syrup – ¼ tsp
  • Egg – 1
  • Milk – 4 tbsp
  • Pink Sprinklers – 1 tbsp

* 1 cup = 235 ml

How to make sprinkler cupcakes with step by step images


  1. Preheat oven at 350 degrees F.In a bowl add melted butter and sugar. Whisk it well it is combined. Now break an egg and vanilla syrup. Whisk it well until combined.
  2. Now in a sifter add all purpose flour and baking powder. Mix well and sift it in the egg butter mixture. Now incorporate the mixture with the wet ingredients. Mix well. Now add milk and mix well and it will form cupcake batter.
  3. Now stir in some sprinklers in cupcake batter. You can add as much as you like. Place cupcake liners in a cupcake tray. Now fill cupcake batter in each cupcake liner. Fill only 1/2  portion of each cupcake liner.
  4. Now place it in the preheated oven and bake it for 25 minutes. Every oven is different so if it is not baked in 25 minutes bake fir some more time. When the cupcake looks done and puffed up insert a toothpick in the center of the cake, if it comes out clean the cake is done, if it has some batter then bake for some more time. Now when the cupcake looks done take it out of the oven and place it on a cooling rack for it to cool down then enjoy it!
