Pita chips recipe, How to make pita chips

A simple and crunchy recipe which can be made within minutes as snacks. I got used to eating this chips since my school days. My mom used to prepare it for us with the leftover pita bread or sometimes we buy extra pita bread to make chips . Nowadays lot of brands sell this chips but I still prefer making my own chips as I feel fresh homemade chips are best tasting and u can alter it according to your taste . For the pita chips I used fresh homemade pita bread that I baked . So lets get to that!

Ingredients

  • Pita bread – 4
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder ( optional)

How to make pita chips with step by step images

  1. Take pita bread and cut them into cubes with a knife. Each bread bread cube will have two layers. Separate them so that u get crunchy chips.
  2. Heat oil and slide the bread pieces carefully as u will see oil bubbling immediately.
  3. When the chips turn golden color transfer them to a plate with paper towel to drain excess oil. U can eat the chips as it is or sprinkle sum salt and chili powder to it and eat. Both the ways it will taste delicious.
