- 1. Moong dal – ½ cup
- 2. Grated Coconut – 1 tbsp
- 3. Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
- 4. Urad dal – 1 tsp
- 5. Dried red chilli - 2
- 6. Oil – 1 tbsp

- * 1 cup = 235 ml
- Heat a pan, add moong dal and dry roast for a minute in low to medium flame. Make sure the color does not change. When roasted add enough water and salt. Mix well and allow the mixture to boil for 10 minutes in medium flame. When the moong dal looks done drain the water and keep the moong dal aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds after it splutters, add urad dal after it turns golden brown add dried red chili, curry leaves and hing. When flavorful add cooked moong dal and salt if required. Mix well and after few seconds add grated coconut , Mix everything well and put off the flame and serve it!
