Mushroom fried rice recipe, Indian style fried rice

Fried rice is a simple and yummy rice dish which does not require any introduction. Mushroom fried is just a variation from regular fried rice with addition of mushrooms. This particular Indian style fried rice is my favorite recipe as I am a big fan of fried rice and mushrooms. You can make this fried rice with fresh or left over rice but preferably with Basmati rice as it is the key ingredient in making this rice a flavorful one. So lets get to the making!

Ingredients

  • Mushroom – 6
  • Cooked basmati rice – 1 ½ cup
  • Small Carrot – 1
  • Chopped capsicum – ½ cup
  • Spring onion – 1
  • Salt – to taste
  • Pepper – ½ tsp
  • Soy sauce – 1 tsp
  • Oil – 2 tsp

Mushroom fried rice

  1. Chop spring onion, carrot, capsicum and mushrooms. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped spring onion and carrot. Saute well. Now add chopped capsicum and saute well.

  2. Now add chopped mushroom and mix well. Allow the veggies to get cooked in oil without adding any water in medium flame.

  3. When all the veggies seem to be cooked add salt, pepper and soy sauce. Mix well, add cooked rice and mix gently. When done put off the flame and garnish it with chopped spring onion and serve!
