Mysore bonda, Ulundu bonda, Urad dal bonda recipe, How to make mysore bonda
This is simple and mouthwatering bonda with crispy outer and soft inner and tastes delicious with chutney and sambar. This recipe is a hassle free one and I often make it at home as my hubby is a great fan of these golden beauties. The best part is their aroma will fill the house when you fry them. For this recipe I allowed the batter to rest for 1 hour in order to get more crispiness. So lets get to the frying!

How to make Mysore bonda with step by step images
Soak urad dal for 3 hours. Grind it in blender adding salt. (For grinding I used only ¼ cup water).
Transfer the batter to a bowl and add chopped green chili, peppercorn, curry leaves, rice flour, chopped coconut and mix everything well. Heat oil in a pan and drip small portions of the batter in oil one by one. Cook until the bonda turns crispy and golden brown. Transfer it to a plate with paper towel to drain excess oil.
