I have posted some more recipes with maida like these :

In this recipe I have used both milk and water while kneading the dough but if you don’t like milk you can use only water and curd for dough. Replace the quantity of milk with water and the naan will still be perfect and soft.

Ingredients
  1. 1. Whole wheat Flour/ Atta – 1 ½ cups
  2. 2. Milk – ½ cup
  3. 3. Water – ½ cup
  4. 4. Curd/ Dahi – 1 tbsp
  5. 5. Salt – to taste
  6. 6. Oil – 1 ½ tsp (for kneading dough)
  7. 7. Baking powder – ½ tsp
  8. 8. Baking soda – ¼ tsp
Topping
  1. 1. Garlic – 4 pearls (finely chopped)
  2. 2. Cilantro/ Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
  3. 3. Butter – 2 tbsp
Note
  1. * 1 cup = 235 ml
Instructions
  1. In a wide bowl add wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, oil and curd. Mix well.
  2. Now add milk and water gradually to form a soft non sticky dough. Knead it for about 2 minutes and soft dough will be achieved. Cover the dough and keep it aside for 3 to 4 hours.
  3. After 3 to 4 hours the dough will rise a bit. Now pinch a medium size dough ball and flatten it into tear shaped or round shaped naan using a rolling pin. (I chose oval/ tear shape, but you can flatten it to round shape as well)
  4. Now onto the flattened naan dough spread the chopped garlic and chopped cilantro on it and roll it gently once using rolling pin so that garlic are embedded/ stick on it. Repeat the whole process till you finish all the dough.
  5. Heat a tawa and when the tawa is really hot place the flattened naan dough and then put the flame to medium. Do not press it or flip it within few seconds you will be able to notice the naan fluffing well at that point drizzle some oil around it and flip it gently.
  6. After flipping do not press it let the naan fluff again, then when you find brown spots in both sides transfer it gently to a plate.
  7. Also you can put the naan from tawa onto direct flame to get tandoor flavor and finally smear some butter on it for glossy look. But this step is optional. Smear some butter on it for glossy look.. Serve it hot with any curry if your choice.
