air fryer fish pakora

Air fryer fish pakora recipe, Fish pakora

Air fryer Fish pakora is a mildly spicy and delicious starter or snack prepared by air frying masala coated fish fillet cubes to perfection. This fish pakora with crispy exterior and soft inside is popular in restaurants both in the regular menu and buffet but is most of the time oily as it it deep fried so thought to make my own version of healthy fish pakora in air fryer and turned out super yum. This fish pakora tastes as yum as recipes like these Vegetable pakora and Chicken 65 which are also few popular appetizers/ snacks in restaurant/ potluck. I recently posted an healthy version of the other snacks  like Air fryer chicken 65 and Air fryer onion pakoda which many readers tried and sent me pictures as well for which I was truly overwhelmed.
Fish pakora needs just handful ingredients in its making and also needs less for its preparation and that is why I always like to to serve as it sides along with Sunday biryani. When the biryani is in dum mode, you can happily put these fish fillet cubes in air fryer and job will be done.

For this fish pakora I used Tilapia fish fillets available in Costco which tastes amazing, since everything is pre cleaned the work is super simple, just mix all the ingredients, marinate for 30 minutes and air fry. Also I have not used any food color in the recipe instead Kashmiri chili powder to give the pakora good coloring. In this recipe I have used cumin seeds/ jeera which can be replaced with caraway seeds/ omam. So let’s get to the making!

  5. When the air fryer is preheated brush a tbsp of oil on the baking rack/ place a parchment paper on the baking rack (prevents chicken from sticking) then place the fish pieces one by one evenly without overcrowding. Do not place really big chunks as the inside might not get cooked fully. Brush a tsp oil over the fish pieces as well (optional). Now cook for 6 minutes.
