Rava fish fry recipe, Fish rava fry recipe

Rava fish fry is a shallow fried fish with crispy exterior and soft interior filled with masala. This recipe is a slight variation to the regular fish fry that we make at home and still it makes a lot of difference in its taste and has a more appealing texture/look too. Yes just a coat of sooji/ rava makes all the difference in taste and look. For this recipe I have used tilapia fish fillets and that’s what was available with me(during this lockdown), but you can try making this same recipe in king fish and it will taste super yum. Serve this fish fry hot with biryani for the coming weekend and it will surely be loved by your family or loved ones. So let’s get to the making!

  11. 11. Garlic – 6 to 8 (pearls)
Note

Instructions
  1. Wash the fish fillet gently. Cut each fish fillet into 2 pieces/ more according to your preference.
  2. In a bowl add fish fillets to it add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, coriander powder and lemon juice. Mix everything well in a way the fish is coated well in masala. Marinate the fish for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  3. After 30 minutes of marination remove the fish fillets from the fridge and keep it aside for 5 minutes.
  4. Add sooji/ rava in a plate, onto the rava place a marinated fish fillet and coat it well in rava. Keep it aside. Repeat the process till all the fish fillets are coated well. Keep the fish aside for 10 to 15 minutes so the rava sticks to the fish well and does not separate in the oil. After 15 minutes of rest time heat ½ cup oil in a pan, when the oil is just hot add curry leaves and garlic cloves (lightly minced with skin, this adds to the flavor of the fish) then place 2 to 3 pieces of fish on the tawa. Fry them in medium flame. When one side looks cooked flip it gently with a spatula and cook the other side as well. When both sides are cooked/ fried well remove it from the pan and serve it hot.
