Ragi kanji/ Sweet ragi porridge is a delicious, super healthy and filling breakfast made with ragi flour, milk, water and cardamom powder that can be easily prepared in no time. This wholesome breakfast can be made in 2 version either sweet or savory and the sweetness can be derived with with sugar/ jaggery or even honey according to individual taste and preference. This simple and quick to make breakfast is cardamom flavored as well which make the porridge more appetizing. Since the heat is scorching in all the places and this is one of the best ways to beat the heat. The water and milk content can be altered as needed. So let’s get to the making!

Ingredients
  1. 1. Ragi/ Finger millet flour – ½ cup
  2. 2. Water – 2 cups
  3. 3. Milk – ½ cup
  4. 4. Sugar- 4 tsp
  5. 5. Cardamom powder – a pinch
Note
  1. * 1 cup = 235 ml
Instructions
  1. In a pan dry roast ragi / finger millet fore a minute in low flame. When you get nice aroma add water and mix well. Let the mixture boil and after 5 minutes you will see thick and shiny texture of cooked ragi mixture.
  2. Now add milk, sugar and cardamom powder. Mix well and allow the mixture to boil for a minute until everything us well combined. Switch off the stove and serve it warm.
