Poori is always a big yes for me and my hubby when I call poori as dinner. Though it is a deep fried dish its taste can never be substituted by any other Indian bread recipes made with wheat flour according to me. When I make poori I always prefer to make peas curry over potato masala as side accompany after my mom and grandma not only because i am used to it but also for its taste, but I prepare potato masala occasionally though poori tastes best with both the side dishes.

How to make Poori with step by step images
- In a bowl add wheat flour, oil and salt. Mix well and add water gradually to form dough. The dough should neither be too tight nor too soft. Allow it to rest for 20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a frying pan. Now take a ball of dough and roll it into a small circle with a rolling pin.
- Now slide a poori into the hot oil. When it puffs flip it carefully and when done transfer it to a plate with paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve it hot with peas curry or potato masala
